What color walls and what color curtains should I use in my living room?
Question:I have a suede gray furniture set - couch, love-seat and an armchair. What color walls and what color curtains should I use in my living room?

ooooo... i like that! so i'm assuming u'r going contemporary or modern? If so, then stick to blues or even deep red. U could get away w/ a certain brown/taupe. U'd have to take a sample of u'r furntiure w/ u.. like a pillow if u don't have a sample piece. Again... contmp or modern... stick to solid or something w/ a simple design. Strait lines.
If u'r going more retro... u could get away w/ a little bit more pop of color like teal/ blue-green/
lt greens go well w/ grey also lt blues or grey blue/ charcoal instead of black which can b harsh. Rose & dusty purples.
If u can find a geometric curtains that would b awsome to go w/ the color of u'r sofa w/ some splashes of the wall. But if not, i would probably lean more towards the color of u'r sofa. Make sure u add texture w/ pillows & frames, decor of statues.. etc..
Grey is pretty neutral but then again it's the COLOR of the grey. Take something of the couch & get several samples of different colors & put them on the wall. Watch how they chg w/ the lt from day to nt. then chose.
U could even paint the bttm. part darker & the top lighter of the same color & put a stripe of 1 more accent , like creme or off white in the middle or 3/4 way up. That way would give the appearance of the rm being taller.

I would use some light colors because that way your house/apartament will look really bright. Dark rooms usually makes people depressed.
Try White or light blue :)
But the best things is something you like! Not what I like hehe
Lime green, or a light shade of green..Or frosty color.
If u pick green paint, make sure curtains are a shade darker.
i would suggest white for your walls. then go for something bright as well for your curtains...perhaps, some pastel color
Try Amaranth or Coral red
I think a light blue or a certain shade of red ,maybe a sea green might look nice with it.
what color is your flooring? do you want a warm or cool feeling? do you have "nice" windows, because you can draw attention to them or make them fade into the background if they're so-so. benjamin moore has a special line of paint called aura http://www.myaurapaint.com ... one of their standard (non-aura) neutral colors is called sand dollar and it works with just about anything
Don't use brown, golds, or oranges with gray.
Try a mid- range shade of your favorite color - say, smoke or royal blue - and paint walls that color.
Get a rug that has gray and the blue in it.
Get curtains that match walls with gray tiebacks or vice versa; or a print or stripe with blue and gray.
Pillows should be in blues, grays, and ivory or white.
Add stainless steel and glass end and cocktail tables, and stainless or blue lamps with pale gray or ivory shades.
Put a plant [ even a fake ], some framed photos, and some candles - it looks great!
Hi there, How about cuppaccino wall colour and have one wall as your feature wall in burgandy (this wall to be painted with a sponge-suede effect) then for curtain how about some kind of pattern with brown,burgandy and cream tonnings...(but not too dark more on the soft side tones??.How does that sound??
