A new house is being built and the designers want the indoor lighting to have a high color temperature. Which?
Question:A. Incandescent lighting
B. Flourescent lighting
C. Table lamps
D. Skylights
Answers:
B and D.
A high color temp is the blue end of the scale (measured in K= Kelvins)
Incandescent/tables lamps sit at 2700K while the daylight from the skylight is around 5500K.
Fluorescent lighting generally offers between 2700K- warm white, and 6500k daylight deluxe or super daylight, but can go up to 10000K (the kind of temp you use in aquariums)
D and B (5500K light)
Lot of factors go in to that. where is this house ? Which direction does it face ? What`s the inside color scheme ? What`s the buyers preference. Not knowing these things, I can only tell you what I like. A & D
D. But skylights do not work well at night.
