How to sell vacuums at sears?

Question:it's a new job and i just wanted to know if anyone out there has done this before and if they have any advice for me...

Answers:
Talk to customers, not your co-workers.

Ask customers if they need help.

AND REALLY IMPORTANT: know your products! Last time I went to Sears looking at freezers, the salesman read me the signs on the units. I could do that myself.

If you are selling Division 20, there is a manual you can work from to help sell. Ask your division manager for help.
use the line "it sucks harder than monica lewinski"
The biggest advice I can give is to just have confidence in yourself and in your products. Study up on the features of every vacuum and be able to quickly tell the customer the differences between them. One of the most important things is to be able to listen to the customer and narrow their choice down to 1 or 2 models immediately. This shows the customer that you are able to help them.
My friend just started working at sears selling the same thign and has done a great job seeing that he sold 5 in his first week. he just gets in the peoples heads and tells them they need one even if they dont that way he ameks the profit and doesnt care about the people i agree its a great idea screw the people over!
