Instead of getting it recovered, why don't you just use it as it is, but pop it into a duvet cover instead? This will allow you to buy several with different "looks" and change them up when the mood hits you.
I assume you are looking for a feather down comforter and I can only suggest an Estate sale or Auction. You can now buy comforter covers so it will be easy to recover it yourself to something you like.
