Emulsion paint?

Question:What will emulsion stick to best? Primed wood or just painted straight on. I have to use emulsion on this area of wood to match in with the rest or the room. I have plain old non-vinyl water based emulsion.

Answers:
It will stick fine to wood without primer - just give it two or three good coats

I would reccomend using a primer first, as Emulsion is only a water based paint and does not have as good an adhesion as gloss.
Hope this helps.
primed wood or the paint will rub off over time you need to prime anything if you want a job done right
I have recently used HOMEBASE JUST ONE COAT for interior wood and metal . At first i primed the wood but found it very time consuming so i then painted over existing painted wood and it turned out well . So i would recommend painting straight onto existing wood .
Use a good primer first,
I use emulsion some times as a primmer, it will do fine no primmer needed.
you can just roll emulsion paint on the service cos it can be used a primer
In the days before primer, emulsion was used. Just 2 or 3 coats and that should be fine.
