How to upholster using leather on a curve back office chair?

Question:

Answers:
Theres alot to it but the basics would be. 1st turn the chair over and remove the metal base. 2nd carfuly remove the staples on the bottom of the seat and set the dust cover aside.3rd find bolts or screws holding the back to the seat and remove the back.
Your best bet is to cover over the old leather and not to remove it so at this point the seat can be recovered by stapling the new leather in place. The back is where the real work is.
First remove the staples from the bottom of the outside back pannel.Next you will most likly have metal tack strips running up the sides of the outside back. You will need to carfully pry them up with a flat head screwdriver try not to bend them to much as you will need to reuse them. Now you can fold the outside back up and at the top you will either have plygrip(metal strip) this you must also carfully pry apart with your screwdriver OR you will have a cardboard strip with staples if so remove the staples carfully try not to tear the cardboard you will need to reuse it. look for any additional staples holding the top on and pull them out.now remove the outside back and set aside. You should be able to put your new peice of leather over the old. Try the make your folds and release cuts(small wedge shaped cuts in fabric to make it easer to shape)" the same as the old fabric "and staple on. Then attach new outside back in reverse of how you removed the old one and reassemble the chair peices in reverse of removal.
