Where can I find a pink gingham seersucker single duvet cover?
Question:I had one but it's ripped and where I got it from no longer stocks them, it was about 8 years ago though!
Answers:
Do you sew? Duvet covers are super easy to make!
1. Measure your comforter that you want to cover.
2. Go to a fabric store and get enough fabric to cover just one side. You will probably need about 5 yards.
3. Cut it in half and sew the two pieces together. Lay it out on a flat sheet that matches or contrasts, cut it to fit your comforter and sew up three sides. On the side left over you can put on Velcro, buttons, snaps, or my favorite, ribbons to tie into bows!
Easy as 1-2-3! Look out though, you'll probably end up making lots of cute pillows and matching curtains too! The best part is nobody will have the exact same thing as you!
are you uk? try laura ashley or make one very simple as last answer says.
Maybe go to a market and buy the material to make one. I did that for our bed when I couldn't find anything to match, and it was sooo easy. Just measure your old one and add a couple of inches, and run the sewing machine round the top and both sides, and about a quarter way each end at the bottom so you leave enough room to put the quilt in. A little tip though, if you can't be bothered with the buttons or poppers on the bottom, leave an extra few inches length of material so it hangs over at the bottom. As long as you've stitched a bit either end, it will hang lovely. And it's so much cheaper.
Hope this helps. Good luck xx
