Question:I had this window seat made for me. It is beautiful and a big accent piece in my living room. It has sections where I can put baskets for storage. I need to know what color to paint this window seat. My colors in my living room is different shades of brown, and accented with black and red. I need to get baskets and make a pillow top for the top seat. Needing help on color scheme..thanx

Answers:
I would choose a darker tan. I think that would match with everything and then you could get a simple fabric that goes well with the black and red. I would stick to natural baskets. (they always look nice! and blend well) I actually have black, red, and gold in my family room. Good Luck matching!!

blue
I would go with classic white. Then if the color scheme changes, you can change it to with out to much work.
Use one of your accent colors so it contrasts with the walls around it.
u can paint it brown to go w/ what i would think is u'r walls or furniture or go w/ u'r accents. black or red then get a really nice material for the top that would complement it & the rest of u'r room.

U can always paint u'r baskets to either accent or match as well. Or stain them. or make covers for them inside w/ the same pillow top material.
TURQUOISE`
Antique white would look beautiful. Then you can choose a fabric for the seat in creams, reds or grey accents.
mocha brown or a cappuccino those will give it a real nice cozy felling with good contrast
