I would like to stain a concrete patio?
Question:i understand that the area has to be clean and grease free. i have a power washer for that. i also understand that the area has to be treated with an etching solution (acid). how is the acid applied to the area and does the acid get removed ? if it does have to be removed, how long does it stay on and how is it removed (e.g. water ? )

The acid is Muratic Acid its scrubbed into concrete with a buchet and brush just as you were cleaning it , lots of venilation too of course, then power wash off dry real good and then get some concrete stain and should be good to go Good Luck!!
that's a tough one. maybe you should go to a garden and patio "help" web site, they may have recipes to stain concrete. good luck
