What would be a good color combination for a girl's room?
Question:I need colors for my daugther's room. She's almost 12. Please if you have any ideas tell me.

At 11, she should have great ideas of her own. She shouldn't be limited the the normal pink/white combinations but could begin using favorite colors of her clothes or accessories. She will probably be using these new bedroom colors until she is well into in her teens so they need to reflect her continually developing color appreciation.

Choose your daughter's favorite color. Most teen girls like pink or purple or aqua or yellow or orange. Look at her clothes, what color does she like to wear. If she's dramatic, add black trim as an accent to any of the above colors.
I'd really involve her in this project. By the time I was 11, I had strong opinions about my color preferences. My mom would have NEVER guessed them...I mean after all what 11 year old's favorite colors are black, burgundy, forest green, and purple. She would have assumed purple and kelly green and I would have been PISSED. Ask her please. PLEASE. Because I doubt you're going to want to redo her room in 2 years, so you don't want her to hate it.
