Has anyone used vinyl fabric as an alternative for an area rug? Im concerned it may not stay flat on the floor

Question:we are having a hard time finding area rugs in our price range, so we thought about buying a big piece of vinyl fabric. Would I still need the ends to be sewn or would it be fine cut right off the roll?

Answers:
That's a fabulous idea! Use spray adhesive to cover a practically free and ugly rug from the thrift store that has thickness and backing, etc.!

Gosh you could sew a pattern or simply cut fringe on the edges! Checkout the upholstery fabric clearance at your fabric store - jo annes has tons of this stuff.

GREAT IDEA

i think it should stay but get a pit of underpading just to be safe..in terms of the edges it depends on how they cut it but if its really well cout you shouldn't need to sew it at all..also i love that idea..i may infact steal it:P
