Do you put siding on a house before putting shingles on the roof?

Question:

Answers:
Put the shingles on first, especially if you have warm days when available and so the shingles can 'set'. Siding can be put on anytime. Be careful up there!

I think I'd put the roof on first, personally. That way the house is protected from the top if it rains. I'd also put the roof on first to prevent any damage that could be done to the siding while hauling shingles up to the roof. But that's just MY preference. Otherwise, it really doesn't matter.
Definately put the roof shingles on first. It's a messy job and your siding will get dirty mighty fast if you do otherwise.
when roofing a house that already has siding there is a possibility that some damage to the house siding could occur due to falling debri. if new construction,it is always best to do the roofing first.
