Anyone know where I can find sweet ideas for decorating a teenager's room?
Question:Well, I can't really think of what I want. I want it to be blue, but I really want it to be decorative! Any ideas, or sites I can go on for some help?
Answers:
Maybe you can ask the teenager whose room your going to redecorate. They might have some cool ideas and it will be less stress on you. Also, it just depends on how old the teenager is. Hope the links I gave you help. Good luck!

try Ikea, awesome stuff very modern and at a affordable price!
Depends on how much you're willing to spend, really. I design all of my rooms off of pottery barn ideas. But I'm willing to spend the money on it.
try to check KNOCK FIRST..they're cool young interior designer

there are many magazines you can buy
first of all is a girls room or a boys room?
im assuming a girls room, definatly ask her what she wants and then work with her on the details. i wouldnt go buying expensive furniture because she will most likely be leaving the house soon anyway. both of you should sit down together and brain storm ideas on what you envision the room to look like and then work from there.
buy magizines so they can help you, and remember to have thier input on this, it is thier room and most likely they will be spending alot of time in it.
i hope that helped.
Well, start at the grocery store and browse some mags with your style. Go through some catelogs until you know what you LIKE. Then shop smart. When you find a comforter, you will know your paint color, then balance the room with highlights of color in contrast, curtains, picture frames and theme related knick knacks and an anchoring area rug and lamp shades. Relate things like lamps and curtain hardware from the same family.
I returned to blues in the living area and love it on white and dark brown furniture. Checkout porceline blues with olives and other blues as large (for studying) throw pillows on a simple white overstuffed comforter and light blue high tc pin striped sheets at smart bargains.com - paint the walls porceline blue, white shelving with baskets and if you splurge, a porceline blue with sunflowers wool rug at pottery barn - otherwise use neutral or a woven natural rug, beiges and natural wicker works well, perhaps a wicker arm chair with a hint of yellow here and there. consider a collection of clocks over the bed (to torment your teenager) and definitely checkout pb for teens - although cost plus has wicker for a fraction and paint some large letters for initials or a word like "dream" or their graduation year "2009" or favorite "whatever "over the bed in all the blues and greens you mix.
I am going to do a clock collection over the couch and can't believe what Target and Walmart carry I love my color scheme and moved it into the kitchen and dining. Works with mixed whites, antiques and rustic pine, very casual, very very quality.
I would keep it simple with the RIGHT paint color and quality fabrics. A right balance of 3 elements (like your outfit) paint, fabric and furniture will compliment itself looking effortless (like a good outfit).
Have fun! I love to decorate! I am going to do my daughters room pink and purple with magic fairy princesses if you have any ideas!
The success of any decorating scheme depends on how well it suits all the members of your family. To create a décor that you will be happy with, think about what you want and also what you don’t want. You can start by looking through magazines, and catalogs.
old jeans, you could cut up old jeans to use as accents from pillows to rugs. to quilts endless ...today I saw a show they cut jeans into 9 inch strips of fabric and using some netting like a fishing net they just fed the strips through and tied them in a knot one at a time until you got an all over shaggy denim rug. CD's on the walls or in a hanging mobile might be cool. nteriordec.about.com/od/teenro...

You can start by looking through magazines, and catalogs. Give yourself plenty of time, it will take longer than you think, and your ideas will develop as you go.
I think that you could look on Pottery Barn they ALWAYS have cute things to make any room look gorgeous. Also, you could pint your room blue and put (with a stencil or sponge of some sort) other designs on the walls that you like such as: Butterflies, flowers, bunnies, cartoon characters, and many other things to buy to make your room look cool. But, look to PB Teen not the kids one of the adults.
