How do I cover metalic paint?

Question:I have a bathroom (a BIG one) where I painted the walls a dark blue and added big swirls of gold metallic paint on top. We are thinking of putting the house on the market and it has been suggested that we repaint in a more neutral color scheme (boo hoo). What kind of paint or primer would cover the dark blue and the metalic without it bleeding through?

Answers:
gray maybe.

Zinsser Fast Prime (oilbased) or Zinsser Fast Prime 2 (waterbased) is the best primer. Either will work great. It just depends on your preference. Although, most people prefer waterbased. One coat will give you a great surface for your topcoat and they'll never know what was under there.
x-i-m ...it is an excellent primer ...as a painting contractor it is one of my favorites
