Matching Colors for the Outside of my house... My siding is a . What color would go best?
Question:My siding is a peachy color...I was thinking of getting shutters. should I get black shutters?
Answers:
white would be my first choice then ivory or medium brown.
I've never purchased shutters...maybe you could get wood shutters...cedar shutters would look nice.
white would prolly look best
Black is to dark! I would go with a darker peach or white
Do not get black shutters, its hard to understand what color it is till you see it. but i would probably go for a light brown or a darker color of the peach
White, ivory, or green.
maybe brown shutters- find a paint sample that matches your house then look for coordinates at the paint store- usually there is a section that will show you what would be a nice contrast. Maroon might be nice too- you just need to look at the samples next to each other to see if YOU like it.
I've seen Burgundy, a slightly more purple-than-Burgandy-color, Chestnut Brown, dark gray, & French Blue, that all looked good . Black might be too stark a contrast to go with a pastel color . Charcoal(dark gray) would be better.
depends on what u are trying to do...
if u want a dramatic look, then black is more than ok...
if u want something softer without much contrast... then some brown or beige or peach of a different degree colors will do it... white is a little like black will create some contrast...
both ways u should consider other colors and styles in your space...
best of luck... have fun!
I personally would prefer a deep blue.
