Really awkwardly shaped room solutions for teen room?
Question:im moving into my moms old room. its a loft, one whole wall gone, so i dont know where i can put my posters, talk on the phone, and play my music. also the corners are not 90 degree angles, two of the walls slant towards each other at one end and away from each other at the other end. the roof is exposed wood and isnt flat it leans up to one side. my room right now is so small (walk in closet) otherwise i would stay there. any ideas to work around the really awkward, not teeen-friendly room?

Wow! I love all the angles...I think your on to it ...I would definitely consider the loft bed - do you have a closet there? With the loft bed you could add some storage for your clothes and other items. Is there room for a small sofa - some come with storage under the pull-out sleeper. I'd stick to light colors with the wood -
try some of the greens and blue...Go get some low shelves for organizing your phone, computer (?) and music...I would also purchase a folding screen and make that the area you would use for phone and music An inexpensive butterfly chair would be nice. Under the bed I would take a piece of plywood, or a flat door (yes! a door - cheap) and you can get legs for it at the same place (Home Depot) and use that for your computer
under the bed. You need a comfortable place to do homework in the Fall when school starts again :o)....you still have the summer and having friends over and a place to go is important. The sleepsofa would allow for friends to stay over too and offer that storage you need. Small spaces can be set up really fun with organizers - have fun with the room!
