Roller shutter garage door or Sectional.?
Question:What are your views on which is the better option to go for with an integral garage. I intend to use insulated double skin and electric opening for either option. Either are suitable for the opening but having no experience of them I can't decide which would be the better door.

Roller, it gives you more room in the garage and is less hassle, I have one on my kennel.
Having experience of industrial roller and sectional doors, I purchased a sectional insulated double skin with electric opening / closing, on the key fob.
No problems so far and it is used every morning and night and during the day at week ends.
I would not touch the roller type.
I'm not an expert but my choice would be the sectional,simply from observation.I've seen the shutter type after several years use and I think they tend to distort and stick. Further I think the overwhelming majority of garage doors are sectionals this alone tells me something.Another advantage is if one section is damaged beyond repair it can be replaced without changing the whole door.Just my opinion!
shutter type is awfully noisy and less energy efficient than the insulated type..
