Anyone know of a paint that will work on ceramic wall tiles?

Question:These are in a kitchen. They're from the early 70s, I think, and have a mushroom motif which is just awful. Can't stand to live with them, can't afford to replace them! They're in good condition, otherwise. Can I paint them? Thanks for any advice!

Sure. These days one can find the paint to cover just about anything except water and oil. I suggest you have a visit with your favorite paint supplier during which you explain what is to be covered. If you would have a tile sample to show would be great in regard to porosity. Anyway, the surface preparation will be quite important, so don't go to sleep while your supplier explains about that.
