Has anyone ever purchased and had windows installed from Home Depot?
Question:If so, how would you rate their windows and installation skills?

As bhop said, installations vary.
The products are acceptable and for the most part you`ll probably find the same from the installers. It`s the measures I have a problem with. Most are ordered "undersized". This usually leaves way to much room between the new unit and the RO.
But I understand this is how these people are instructed to measure. (mindless twits)
This is why we quit installing for them.
They sell a full range of windows with a full range of cost. Their installers are fairly priced and backed by the store, a good situation to be in if there are problems. Their material prices are close to contractor prices and are hard to beat.
the windows are great, but my parents paid a lot for them and their installation sucks because they had to come out a couple of times and fix their own shotty craftsmanship
Hi.yes I had windows installed last summer,from Home Depot.The help was great in choosing the windows,I was very happy with the installation.I have had no problems at all.I would rate Home Depot a 10 on this.
There installers will vary by location.
The installers are backed by the company and do good work or they wouldn't have the HD contract.
If you have issues with your install, make sure the store takes care of it before it's too late.
The quality of product is consistant with price in the market.
It's pretty good stuff.
We have purchased "Andersen Windows" french doors. They are the same as if you were purchasing directly from the dealer (high quality). They will be installed by our contractor. But if you don't have a contractor 'Home Depot' sub-contracts installations to qualified contractors.
