Cool decorating ideas for my patio...?
Question:Just bought a new place with a little outdoor patio. What can I do to spice it up? It's just off a busy street, i'm looking for something that makes those passing by say "wow, that's cool/interesting". Thanks guys!

If you have the motivation, create a frame (you could even use PVC and spray paint it the color you want to save $$) and make some muslim curtains. They are cheap (can find for $5/yard on the net) and you can decorate them yourself if you want a pattern. Otherwise you can just tie them back...will give privacy, will blow with wind (very cool) will help with noise and will make your patio into "an outdoor room".
I also recommend Target as a great place for inexpensive metal furniture. Just be sure to wipe it down with Armourall (the stuff you use for the car) once a month and it will stay rust free.
Enjoy...outdoor spaces are much fun. add a few colored lights (cliche, perhaps, but amusing) and votives. You are good to go (I'd also get a wine bucket for iced drinks.or use a planter for multiple bottles).

Try to have a cool theme. I think a tropical theme is cool! You could have tiki lamps, and other things like that. You could also have it be a place to go and relax. If you want privacy from all the cars driving by put up a nice fence. Flowers are always nice to!

Or buy one of those tropical looking trees and put a few of those up...and even put up those patio party lights (if that is your style)
