I am turning 15 years old and spend a lot of time in my room doing homework. I have tons of beauty products, so I need to organize. I also have a computer and a tv in my room. I really need themes, colors, and ideas for my room.

Answers:
Well to start off figure out what you want to do with your wall. If you go with something dark it will make your room look smaller and darker. I would probably keep the room white and paint designs on it with other colors. Since you have a computer and a T.V. your going to need a desk/ entertainment center. My parents bought a large desk for me that has plenty of surface space for homework and my laptop and printer. It also has a book shelf thing attached to it, I keep my books, cds, and anything else I need in there. As for the TV I have a small stand with shelfs underneath. I would definatly recommend the shelfs if you have a vcr, dvd play or anything else. Another thing that really comes in hand it corkboard. You can paint it to be whatever color you'd like and it's handy for pictures, reminder, posters, or whatever else. Hanging Lanterns are fun too, You can get them in pretty much any color and they help add some extra light. You can also get floor or desk lamps, They help a lot too. The mirrors will make you room look bigger. The netting over the bed is a good idea, I have it over mine. It creates a fun, cute look but it can be annoying at times. For your makeup you could get some small storage bins (you can get them in any shape, color, and size) and use those.

think of what you use your room for:
- sleeping/relaxing/reading - paint in pale colors, as they are soothing. Too much of bright colors are stimulating to the brain and will not help you relax. Use bright colors only as accents.
- studying/doing homework - you need a desk
- storage - lots of shelving - use the wall space you have to hang shelves
Don't go with a theme. You can design a room with all your likes in it. Target, Pier 1 Imports, Kohl's, JcPenny all have cool stuff that you can utilize into your "theme". Try some paint in the room. Choice a wall and a contrast color and go from there.
how about your own twist on a retro room. that is what i am going to do: i am painting part of a wall neon and black checkerboard, and using about 6 of those bulletin board pieces that are about a foot square on the checkerboard and painting them the same colors so i have an invisible bulletin board. that covers retro and black and your other colors. a perect retro/techno combo would be one of those beanbag chairs that are ipod/mp3 player friendly...they are pretty pricey though..so i would get ideas from the ones at pbteen but actually get one at a price comparing site like bizrate. paint ur furniture black and have metal silver mesh storage for your beauty products, it will look modern/techno. and have bright blue and lime bedding. or like im doing, im having my bedding black with my name graffitid in neon green and purple. they sell this at wakeupfrankie.com but im doing it myself for cheaper.
Okay I am in somewhat of the same situation and my answer would be to have tons of fun and funky colors and add as much of your own style as possible!!(I hate pink)
