Insulating a dog house?

Question:I am isulating a dog house, I plan on using styrofoam board. Do I need to get it the same width as the wall studs or can I get it thinner and just tape the edges? And the sheath the inside. Any other info would be helpful.

Answers:
It has to go stud to stud for maximum effect. I've seen people not bother sheeting the inside and needless to say, doggy had fun scratching and chewing when inside his house! I also put the dog house up on a straw-filled pallet to keep off the cold ground. Lucky dog!

That should work fine, I would also use some straw underneath for a frost barrier
Yes.
Tapes easy, so you can piece it together. I use aluminum tape, works nice and no nasty sticky stuff like duct tape.
