How do I clean wood paneling to make it shine??

Question:

Answers:
I like Murphy's Oil soap. It is a very mild soap and it doesn't dry out the wood.

I've also used Orange Glow, but I didn't like the results as much.

Then I use Old English Oil after it has dried. Personally I don't care for pledge I think it leaves to much residue after I use it.

With a mild detergent and a bit of warm water.let it dry, use some pledge and there you go..
Well there's the long and short versions.

Long:

Sand down the paneling and refinish it with a glossy sealant.

Or the short:

Get some Old English and paper towel. (works for me)

:)
Have you tired Murphy's oil soap? My Mom believes in ammonia to wash and the pledge after.
Orange Glo Wood Cleaner and Polish cleans, polishes and protects wood finishes and more without ever leaving a buildup. Orange Glo will revitalize your wood, cover minor scratches and protect against moisture and water marks. It will remove old wax or polish buildup and repel fingerprints and dust. Best of all, Orange Glo will give your wood a luster with the smell of fresh oranges.Available a home improvement stores.
Lemon oil treatment for wood works very well (plus it smells really nice). The bottle claims that it replenishes the woods natural oils. My kitchen cabinets are oak and they are about 20 years old. Whenever I use a lemon oil treatment on them I get compliments about how nice they look (it gets rid of dull spots where the finish is wearing down). Multiple brands make oil treatments. I have used several.

Guardsman furniture "polish" (available @ grocery and home improvement stores)

Use Old English for wood. It's aweome. It'll clean, shine and cover all nicks and scratches. Bring it back to brand new. You'll love it! Come in formulas for dark or light wood.

Murphy's oil soap works, but it smells really bad to me. Wash with some soapy water and then when it dries mix 2 cups of any fabric softener with a gallon of warm water and wipe it on. No rinsing... makes it look moisturized but now waxy, and it takes whatever stinky smells have been absorbed out. It smells great - I like the downy simple pleasures kinds, lavender and vanilla personally. :) Hope this helps!
