Buliding a room in my basement..?
Question:the only thing before i start is that there are two vents that would make the ceiling too low... does anyone know if it's a problem to move the vents so they would go around the room, if so who could i get to do this for me? and is it expensive? thanks

When we remodeled our basement, we had these huge ducts running across the ceiling. Not only were they huge, but they also made the ceiling very low. We cut them out and replaced them with a newer duct product. It was hose like and flexible, almost like a dryer vent hose. I'm sure any home improvement store would carry them. We installed them our selves and then used wood to encase them so it looks like a fancy beam. It worked great and actually added to the beauty of the room.
It depends what the vents are for are they ac/heat vents, if so any plumbing and or ac/heating contractor can do it.
