I recently bought some premixed adhesive/grout to use for my kitchen tiles. It says I cannot seal it. Why?

Question:what might happen if I do seal this compound on my tiles?

Answers:
Did you purchase tile adhesive or grout? Tile adhesive is used to apply the tiles to the substrate. Grout is used to fill the joint or space between your tiles. Don't forget your spacers. Adhesive doesn't get sealed. Grout usually does unless is is a grout that has stain resistant properties already. If it repels stains naturally the sealer won't stick anyway.

I hope it helps,
Take care,
Jen
