How do I let my attic ceiling breathe from sheetrock?

Question:I would love to finish my attic and add sheetrock to the pitched ceiling. Covering the wood is not important, but, it will look much nicer. If there is no way to rock it what else could i do, to improve the look. Thank You.

Answers:
just paint it white

adding drywall to the underside is alot more involved than just that. you could paint the underside with little effort or money(rent a sprayer)!
you could use pine boards and use that for your cieling. just like your doing a floor then polyurathane them. it's a little expensive but the look is beautiful. as far as the breathing part they have styrene molded vent tracks that you staple to the sheathing of your roof between the rafters it creates a channel for air to vent through. then in the soffet you go outside and drill holes in the soffet between the rafter hangover and snap in a soffet vent plug
