A cream color or pale yellow would be pretty. Also consider some pretty print wallpaper.
I agree with Amy that sage green would look lovely, or duck-egg blue or a rich cream if you are not very adventurous and want a nice, clean contrast.

Try "Butter Cookie" it's a Bher color but just get the swatch and bring it to a quality paint store like Ben Moore, have them match it an try a quart first to see if you like it, it's a yellowish orangey color that I think would look real rich looking with what you've got going on. I had the same setup in my last home... I went with "sidewalk" gray walls and a very dark gray molding... it looked great...
probably a tan color maybe add some thing else tan in the room so when they walk in the won't be like oh where did tan come from. and probable something else maroon like pillows and a rug?
Sarah, do a creamy beige or sand color. I like the brown couch because it is a neutral and you can use accessories such as pillows in beige, maroon and maybe a gold or celadon green to make it pop, but I am not to happy about the maroon curtains. Curtains in themselves darken a room and when you put maroon up as curtains, it starts looking to dark and morbid. If you can change the curtains, I would get a creamy beige real silk side curtains which can be purchased in JCPenney.com, or Fortunoffs.com, or bedbathandbeyond.com or linensandthings.com and maybe cream sheers. Tie the silk curtains with maroon tassles. If you have wood floors, get an area rug maybe a persian rug with all your colors. Also use bronze or brass for your lamps.
