Are marble kitchen countertops recommended?

Question:

Answers:
I have marble countertops in a house I just bought. They are horrible. They have to be polished all the time. They streak easy. They have areas where they are worn. I am assuming somebody cleaned them wrong or put hot pots on them. My next countertops will be Corian. I like a spotless house and these marble countertops never look really clean.

No, marble absorbs stain, use granite, quarts, corian
Granite is better than marble because marble is softer. Granite is hard and will last much longer!
If you don't like granite, look at the quartz solid surfaces such as Caesarstone, Silestone, Mystera etc. These are indestructible.
I would not recommend marble. Marble is porous, and it stains and needs alot of upkeep. Granite is your best bet or something like synthetic sandstone.
