One way is to let interior designers in your area know that you are in business. We are always looking for good fabricators and unique slab sources. If you have angies list or kudzu, ask prior clients to rate your work. If you have on-line listing services, they are worth looking into as well. Service Magic is one in our area that has very high standards for its contractors, screens them very well and manages the inquiries for their participants. Also, contact custom woodworkers and furniture makers. The new trend in bathrooms is vanities that are stone topped and look like a piece of furniture. Our guy, for example, will make the wood base, but then we have to have the top fabricated to accomodate the sink and whatever edge we need. I think our cabinet maker would sell more in his showroom if he had standard sizes that already had the stone tops fabricated.

Every town in America has what is called the "Pennysaver magazine". Advertise in there. Also advertise on Craigslist.com. The advertisement goes by your state and town. It is great. But to me the best advertisement is word of mouth. If you do a fabulous job on someones kitchen, their word of mouth is free advertising and you will have more work than you can handle. Also try to make contact with Kitchen Contractors and ask if you can be a sub contractor just doing the granite countertops. That is another avenue to investigate. Also charge a tad lower than the fancy kitchen decorator contractors, and you will get business I assure you. People want a good price. Also make sure you are licensed, and insured. So that would be the key. Good Luck but today, more people than ever are redecorating and upgrading instead of moving, so you should get business.
Internet advertising is a waist of money in our industry. You don't need world wide advertising, most of us don't even need state wide advertising. You should however have a website so that your local customers can visit it. Have it professionally done, put the site on your cards and call it good, for the internet at least. Having the site will help sales.
