Does this look ok.living room?

I know it isn't the greatest. but the whole set up was only around 300-400 dollars for everything in the room. Before we had a ghetto black nasty dirty futon, now we have the wooden suede one and more decoration than ever. But do the colors look ok? Should we change the curtain panels to a diff color?

i think the color of your curtains is really pretty, and it's essential to have some bright color when the rest of the room is neutral. i also would DIE for your floors. anyway, you definitely need an end table, a cool table lamp or floor lamp, and some accent pieces like pillows and a vase or bowl, maybe in a similar blue (or is it bluish-green?) to the curtains and another color, like a medium to dark brown (brown and that type of blue/green together are all over the decorating magazines right now, and the cool thing is, if you get sick of it, just buy a few new accessories in a different shade instead of a whole new couch!). Maybe when you get more money (you could probably find one on ebay!!) get a rug similar to this: http://www.hsn.com/cnt/prod/default.aspx...
in your second color--dark brown, for example-- to have more texture and pull all the different elements together better. (I am not a pro or anything, just REALLY into decor.) if you pull in more accent pieces, a throw rug, small throw, pillows in the colors of the drapes it would help the curtains belong to the set...candles etc...
it looks fine, we all start out somewhere, and it looks like a futon you can always use later in an extra room
btw...I love your wood floors and wish I had them...it looks like a nice big room with lots of light...you are quite lucky
If you can afford it, maybe get a couple of different colored panels for different seasons or moods? (They're pretty easy to change.)
Personally, I like the color contrast you have there and would't "worry" about it being too bold; it's a modern outlook and portrays self-confidence!
Maybe change the rug to match the curtains on the end. The curtain in the middle looks ok.

Some smaller accents on the wall over the couch and a tall lamp in the corner can be a nice touch.
Keep the curtains, just add pillows to the futon the same color as the curtains.very chic!
thats so funny my boyfriend has the same couch and the same wall color they look good togther but the one problem I have with it and he does as well is that the wall color can feel a bit dark... you seem to have a good amount of light in the room so hopefully that will be ok... I think when you get a chance I would get a nice easy chair just so you have somwhere else to sit besides the couch and the only other thing i might suggest is a bigger rug in the future because you have a fairly large room but I know rugs are expensive so i understand why you got it that size...
