How can I restore the shine to white ceramic tiles? I have tried lime away, vineger, scrubbing bubbles and?
Question:even gasoline. Nothing seems to work!
Answers:
you may have scrubbed the finish away. try cleaning them and applying car wax to them. it will restore a beautiful shine, but you will have to reapply it every now and again (about once a year)
hope this helps.
Are you sure the tiles were shiny in the first place? Perhaps they are supposed to be matt finish.
The best cleaner for tiles & grout; to restore to original colour, contains Phosphoric acid & quite safe to use
Well, first of all - stop with the chemicals! You are doing more damage each time. Ceramic tiles have their finish baked on and not much can be done to remedy this damage. Soaps, even mild one, will leave a dulling residue. Most of all - never use harsh products like "****-n-span". Some manufactures will actually void the warrenty if you do!
(My mom worked for Interceramic for years in customer service and so I get my information straight from a manufacture.)
Best cleaning is done with simple warm water. Once the finish is removed from a tile, best you can do is try to cover that fact...but unfortunately, it can not be replaced. Sorry.
