Room color?!?
Question:I want to make my room black, white and red, My bed is gonna be black and round with a white bedsheet and red pillows, i want to paint my wall dark red, my friends told me it would be too dark and that i should integrate something in the wall other that dark red. Im thinking black and white swirls. Any suggestions?

well, if that's what you want go for it. don't let anyone sway you from what you will enjoy. you will be sleeping in it. it sounds busy to me, but, that could be great for your personality. i say leave the black and white swirls. accessorize with black and white things, pictures, lamps, flowers, etc.
id like a black room with white swirls and mabe some red too, but it would also be dark but if you like it doesnt matter wat ur friends say
If your set with your colors, try mirrors. The will make the room look bigger. If your set on dk red for your walls, def. add some white to it, or have a white accent wall. Lighting will make a big difference as well. Place lamps in strategic locations to reflect the most light possible.
Paint the walls a brighter shade of red. if you add a few yellow accessories. they will keep it from being to dark by adding a little 'sunshine'.
You could paint the walls black and white strips and then use red accessories.
