What color should i get?

Question:I want to repaint my room but i dont know what color. I had the same boring light pink color since i was 4 years old. I need a change i want to paint only one wall a different color with all the others white. But then again im not sure if i want to do that. I was thinking of making Polka dots but thats probably too hard.

Please help me...Im really bad with making decisions especially when it comes to permenant things.

I think what is really neat is to take one main wall and paint it a green or blue in a shade you love and then the rest of the walls a butter cream yellow. You could then make white polka dots on on the yellow walls. That way they won't be over powering. If you like color then you can really go crazy with the dots. I wouldn't put up to many polka dots. What you could do is make out of white paper 3 different sizes polka dots. You can take pan lids and trace around it for a pattern. Drinking glasses work for smaller dots. Trace them on a piece of white paper and cut out. Tape several of them to the wall and then step back and see if you like it. Live with it for a few days and see what you think. If you like it then you can trace around the lids but this time on your wall. Take a small artist brush and with paint fill in the dots. If you find something like a pillow, or bedspread that has polka dots on it then your walls could be plain. You just have to start with either a color you like or a bedspread or some accent that you like and color your room around that. Another thing to remember is paint is not permanent. You can aways repaint. Go for it!!

How about changing over to beige walls and paint one a sky blue. White furniture would look great and you could use a raspberry color for punch with your accents.

If it's polka dots you're thinking of, then check these out.
They are stickers, not paint!

ok... figure out what u'r likes r.. like Parisan, Eurpoean, Beach, Music, Punk, Funk, 70's, retro, etc etc. then after u figure out what u like... now what colors r involved w/ that theme? Pink & black... bright colors... brown & aqua... .. Pick 2 colors then pick a 3rd one for accents... Then go from there.

Circles r not hard to make... it takes a string...pencil.tack. tie the tack to one end of the string. then tie the pencil where u would like the circle size to b... put the tack in the wall.. pull the string taunt, then draw the circle. Paint inside.

That would look neat on the 1 wall u paint a diff. color OR as a border of circles about 3/4 way up the wall or do them on 2 of the opposite walls & use the 1 wall color & u'r 3rd accent color.. u could even throw in some of the 2nd color .. a few.

U could paint squares that over lapped ea. other. U could paint stripes or waves or squiggles... make hand prints in the shape of flowers...

don't forget u'r accents which would b u'r 3rd color... lamps/shades/rugs/pillows/cush... etc...

B creative & have fun!
Instead of doing polka dots on one wall, do a wall with all different color boxes mixed up so they cut each other off.
get round mirror, as polkadot on your boring pink wall - get more view & fun with mirror around & pink background.

while the rest of the wall can be painted in lighter shade of beige or sand color

not all white- might be too bright
