No, houses that are made of brick sell for much more than houses with vinyl siding. Also, you would have to re-roof your house to accomodate a stone extension. I used to side houses and brick is definitely a keeper. I suggest doing landscaping instead, brighten the exterior up by power washing the brick, then plant some flowers and trees with stone landscaping.
there are many types of stone veneer that can be applied over the brick using mortar type material, use the search term "stone veneer" on your fav search engine or visit the local building supply store. some are made of real stones sliced really thin, others are made of portland cement,with ground up rock added for color, there's likely plastic or composite ones as well
