What is the difference between ceramic basins and porcelain basins?

Question:

Answers:
Ceramic basins are made of porcelain. They are one and the same. Older sinks had a porcelain coating over a steel shell, but that was used in bathtubs and kitchen sinks that received heavy use.

One is made of ceramic and one is out of porcelain. I know that sounds kind of obvious but it is pretty basic. Is there more to your question? Are you referring to basins as in toilets? Porcelain is better and costs a little more, but they both flush just fine.
