Room decorating/theme question?
Question:in the next month im gonna change my room theme and im stuck between two options. let me know which you think sounds better! thank you!
option one-
an orange couch-bed with an orange theme (if you have any suggetsions for a color to look nice with orange). its gonna be a movie fever type of thing, im gonna move my tv to face the couch bed and put in my popcorn machine (this was my best friends idea). i like this one cause its a better hangout option.
option 2-
a zen, peaceful room with a light aqua and white color theme. im thinking of getting some glass vases with bamboo and stuff. i like this one cause the peaceful room is very appealing.
i know the two choices are very different! any help would be greatly appreciated!

Aqua colors are relaxing, and are proven to help people fall asleep better than vibrant and exotic colors such as orange. But it is a very clean and simple design and would not look so peaceful if you are a messy person. Although it is very appealing, I think you would have a better time in the movie themed room, if you were to have a party. But if you are not a party person, this would be the way to go.
I would go with orange and hot pink, or orange and yellow, if i were going to do that theme. Although you might not fall asleep as fast as you would in the peaceful room, you would have a lot more fun if you were to have a slumber party. This is a really cool idea. And i love the popcorn machine idea as well!
P.S. if you are going with the zen room, consider that you might have to move your t.v. out of the room to get that feeling of peace and tranquility. Or, you could hide it in a dresser, with shelves, to get the same feeling.
If you like to have company every nite, I'd go with the first idea. But if you like your privacy, I'd do the second idea. I'm partial to the second one cause I like the colors and it sounds like where you'd crawl up in a over-sized comfortable chair and read a good book. Been there and done the company thing, and it took having to hurt a few friends feelings to get them to stay away for a while. It's all your preference but remember once you start inviting them over they won't want to leave!!!
My sister did her room in aqua, orange and lime green. It was bright, exciting and fun. How ever if you want to tone down the orange then white works well. You could have white cushions with orange poka dots and a white or orange floor rug.
i think you should do what you like; it either what your more confortable in doing it :D
Zen is very in right now. I'd personally go with that cuz you'll find a lot of fantastic pieces to put in it!
