Where can I get good furniture for a cheap price ?
Question:On line of some where near dallas
Answers:
Ikea is the only place that makes cheap furniture that is not fugly. True, these pieces will not last for generations. But if you don't have several thousand dollars tucked away for a cute little furniture shopping spree, you can at least furnish your apartment until the day when you become one of these Hummer-driving a-holes with an expensive leather couch and a matching sense of entitlement.
It annoys me when people constantly refer to Pottery Barn and Crate & Barrel as cheap, because these wealthy Americans haven't a clue that most of us can't even afford that stuff.
Your Ikea would be the one in "Frisco."
Haha. Texas has great city names.
Furniture Mart always run great sales weekly. Last week they had a micro sectional in sage and another color for $499. Then it wasn't cheap looking. This week they have a sofa for $369
My favorite place of course!, Goodwill or Salvation Army. That is if you like old furnature that is made of Real Wood and is Heavy. I have found some great stuff there. We have a nice recycle center. I can afford any furniture I want, but I choose these stores. I like to do my part and recycle if I possibly can, plus I get better stuff than this new pressed cardboard "furniture" from China..!!
Goodwill
If you have the time, haunt garage sales in your area. I've seen beautiful furniture going cheap when someone redecorates or is moving.
In my area we have a publication called the pennysaver. I'm sure your area has some form of publication similar. It is a vehicle to sell household and other items. I get the one from the upscale area around where I live (Scottsdale, AZ). I look for the type of furniture I need. I always find great prices on extremely good pieces. For some reason people, mostly wealthy people I've found, think their furniture is less valuable than is the case. If you act slightly the items are distasteful for a small reason, like a tear or stain, you'll get even more $ knocked off. Try this and I believe you will have the same results in the Dallas area. Good luck!
This site has new, good-quality stuff for pretty decent prices:

Check out the "what a deal" tab, especially.
IKEA in Frisco is great. Or Pier One Imports.
