How do you paint a wall that is wooden?

Question:i want to paint a room in my house but all the walls are wooden and i dont know if i can just apply the paint.

Answers:
Use a stain blocking primer like Bin or Zinser. That way you won't get bleed through and you won't need as many coats of latex. Then paint over the primer with your latex color of choice.

First prime the wall, then paint it with a latex paint.
you can either take off the wood or sand the wood befor you pain it.
If they are wood paneled, they were probably already finished with some type of laquer or sealant. Either way I would just go to the paint store and describe to them what you are doing. They will know the right kind of primer to use...If the wood is raw (untouched) it's going to suck up the paint coat after coat, so if that is the case, mention that also. Good luck!
Nope. You need a good primer first, or else your paint WILL peel. We learned that the hard way.sigh...
if your going to paint a wooden wall, first thing you should do is get a primer. primer is a paint that helps the colour paint to not sink in too much and it helps in the over all look. trust me i have done this before.

best of wishes. ttyl :D
wash the wall with TSP then use a good primer paint then paint the color you want

PS the paint store will tint the primer that way you will only need 1 coat of finish paint
