What colors do I add to this bathroom- now white, dark pewter, and black?
Question:This bathroom has a 6 ft. clawfoot bathtub and black and white octagonal floor tiles. The radiator and towel bar are dark pewter. I have to choose towels, shower curtain and art to hang here, as well as some kind of (small) shelving, standing or hanging, I'm not sure which. How would you decorate here?
Answers:
Rasberry, deep gold, russet, yellow, teal, turquoise. Start with a shower curtain and go from there picking up colors in shower curtain if it is a print. You can do small shelving in pewter or white.
I'd add some really BRIGHT colors to it--some lime green, yellow, or hot pink accesories.
Maybe some dusty rose tones.
i guess the small shelving isn't for towels? i would use boxes like these

funny i was thinking fuschia or berry (red with a little fuschia in it) and another answerer beat me to it
Paint the room satin black...splatter white and pewter. looks like the night sky will make the room look bigger. I did this before and thought it was just crazy but looked very cool.
Bright red towels; red and black s hower curtain
I had a black and white tiled bathroom (1960's). I painted the walls (which were 1/3 sheetrock, 2/3 tile) sage green. I used chrome accessories and white cabinetry. I accented with small indoor green plants. Towels are easy to find in the sage, black and white. Solid white curtain made of a thick textured material would look great. If you use alot of white material and a jasmine or eucalyptus aroma, it will give the bathroom a spa feeling.
