If you tuck in the excess neatly you won't even be able to tell the difference.
The easiest solution is to pin the corners of the bed skirt to the box springs., using either safety or straight pins. The extra material will be under the mattress. There will be minor gathering at the foot of the bed, but this can be smoothed out.
it would but it will be too big u should try to get the bed skirt in a standard bed size that way it will fit perfect but if they dont have it in stock at the stores you should order it instead of wasting your money on something that will not look right on your bed or instead of getting a smaller bed skirt get a queen sized bed cause these days it is hard to find nice designed bed skirts for standard size and if u get a queen sized bed u wouldnt have hard time to find the right sizes cause their is a lot of sizes for queen sized beds
