Secondly, with eyes wondering all around aimlessly, they look different. And people might get confused. Thats why they wear dark glasses.
Partly to keep bright light out and also not to offend anyone if maybe their eyes were turned inward or deformed.

I think it's because people can see they are blind and as most of blind people has their eyes with deformity, it helps not blind people look straight them without being disturbing by the deformation of their eyes. So more people can talk to them feeling well. It's true. A reality for blind people which, maybe, neither everybody understand. Some of blind ones, of course, they cannot see its deformity.
And it's no problem about to protect emotive people who can be more sensitive to appearances. Nobody is perfect. (Some people can be doctors, some others cannot.)
