What color should I paint my room?

Question:I am not a girly girl nor a tomboy. I would like something not bright. I dont want bright, i would rather have something kind of deep. i am thinking of purple, but any suggestions?

Answers:
Take everything you have in your room into consideration. Your carpet color, bed sheets, pillow cases, any other colors that may be in your room. Try to pic a color that compliments the other colors in your room. When you have something in mind, take a trip to home depot, pick out alot of color cards with colors you might be interested in, these cards are free by the way. Take those home and try putting them near your carpet, bed, etc see how that color would look. When you narrow it down to a few colors, maybe 3 or 4 colors, you can go back to home depot and get samples of those colors. These samples are usually about a dollar each. Go home and paint a huge spot of each on your wall so you can get a better idea of what they look like. The colors look different on the wall than on the color cards.
