Advise about decorating my room??
Question:i have the box room in my house and it has built in wardrobes and bunk beds so as you can imagine it is really small so i want to redecorate. i was thinking about removing the wardrobes and bunk beds and replacing them with a single bed, single wardrobe, chest of drawers and a bedside locker, all in very dark brown wood with a light chocolate and turquise painted wallpaper in a thick horizontal stripped design wih the turguise colour thicker than the brown. the floorboards are currently exposed because the carpet was removed quite a while ago when i planned to replace it but never got around to it but now i am planning to take up the floorboards, sand them and stain them a darkish brown (but not as dark as the furniture). it sounds like it would be very dark but i was going to brighten it up with bright coloured accosories like a bright blue blind for the window, a bright coloured lamp/lampshade and bright bedsheets
what do you think??
any suggestions ??
cheers in advance!!

i like what u have thot of as well the colors but mayb jst stick to the aqua walls w/ 2 tone stripes of aqua & poss. anthr color. as far as u'r furniture.. that would b rich... here's a tip i saw jst recently on a show... they took those put tog. drawers/cubes/shelves etc from Target/Walmart/K-mart etc.. & used them as a base for a bed. They put the mattress on top & then u have drawers/cubes for shoes//etc & u can move them around .. that may save u on the dresser part then u could poss. put a small chair in there... & get an unfisnished nite stand & paint them all choc. brown. unless u already have ur eye on some furniture. If u do the floor boards... leave a mch lighter stain then u can find a really neat rug w/ choc/turquoise dominate design.
then throw more colors like u stated w/ the turq. & make u'r bed cover a design & the drapes a solid.
WTG.. have fun~
The only probable issue I see is that it might seem a bit too congested inside that room. What about replacing your dark browns with some lighter browns?
