What would be a good, crafty, fun idea for my pine tree slash pile?

Question:I am limbing my blue spruce and pine trees, and I have a lot of branches. The decor of my house is very rustic - lots of twig and logs and such. I'd love to seal these branches/sticks with Shellac and use them to make fun things for my house - furniture, decor, toys for the kids, ANYTHING! What do you recommend?

P.S. I'm no carpenter!!

Answers:
The sky's the limit.

I made the blades of a ceiling fan out of pine branches once.

Recently I saw an arbor made completely of sticks and branches. It was at the entrance of a fence gate. It was quite original and useful for vines.

I have a wrought iron stand about 2 or 3 feet high. I made the top by nailing branches of the same size side by side.

Picture frames?

Welcome signs and such?

Simple shelves to mount on deck or fence for plants and such?

One of those wooden branch reindeer?
I have seen these kinds of branches used for curtain rods, simply get one the right length, hang the curtain on it and hang it on arm style brackets. You could also take the sticks and hot glue them to picture frames or mirrors. Once you get started, you'll find more and more uses for them! Have fun!
