I am in process with my dream home. I planned and saved for years-- and now I have it. Painting is going on right now-- have other things in the works.
How will you know?-- I feel great when I see my home from the outside-- I want to beautify it-- I enjoy going to bed at night and getting up in the morning-- I love the feel of the wood, the tile-- the "bones" of the house--
It has everything I've ever wanted-a big kitchen, a 1.75 bath in the master bedroom, closets out the wazoooo, fireplace with built in cabinets and glass door shelving-a room for guests to visit, a room for "junk", hobbies and such, patio, yard to play in, two car garage, inside wash and dry space, pantry-- it goes on and on... and it helped that I made a list of what I wanted and modified it over the years-- Plus saved and invested so when "my" house came on the market I was ready.

If your home makes you feel GOOD, relaxed, and like your own personal haven, you've got your dream home. It doesn't have to satisfy anyone else's soul.just yours. Everytime I walk into my own home, I feel like everything will be alright, and I feel cozy and content. You need to get that "feel good feeling".
