Best Carpet Sale price in pittsburgh?

Question:Does anybody know a cheap carpeting place around PIttsburgh to buy carpeting? or a contractor that is cheap? I need around 1000 square feet for an appartment. The old stuff is damaged & removed allready. I didn't realize how expensive carpeting at the chain stores is. The cheapest I found so far was cheap berber at lowes for $0.56 a square foot.

$.56 s/f is cheap as you want to go .probably cheaper to go actually because the cost of labor will be close to that if not more and if it is an olefin berber you are looking at 2 years top and you will have to replace it . but no matter what you decide to do get a good pad for a berber no thicker than 3/8" and at minimum a 6lb.. my suggestion is to call around and see if anyone has a 2nd grade carpet some times the only thing wrong with them is they are shaded to the wrong color (don't match the sample) or have minor streaks that depending on how the rooms lay out might not even be noticeable and after that find a mom and pop place they will often bargain with you even some chains like G.C.O. will just to get the biz
