Decorating problem! BIG problem! Help!?

Question:I just got a new apartment, it's a loft with 550 sqf. so it's not very big. the big problem is that there is absolutely NO storage space. There is a small (apox.) 8X3 closet in the bed room upstairs and nothing else. There is no room upstairs to put shelving. Any ideas about what i could use to store stuff so no one will see? Or am I doomed?

Answers:
-pile up a few old suitcases or steamer trunks next to your couch as an end table but use the inside to store out of season clothes, or books you don't look at often, etc.
-get a footstool that has interior storage.

Go UNDER your bed, couch and stack in decorative boxes (wicker, color cordinated, etc). You can buy hard plastic 'bins' that slide under your bed etc.
uNDER YOUR BED and you can put it under your couch and in shelves in kitchens! k?
get some space bags they are awesome they suck all the air out and you can slide them under the bed or hang them in the closet or get a coffee table and end tables that have storage.
maybe get a bookcase type unit that has pull-out wicker baskets. i like the idea of storing under the bed. i've seen storage seating in catalogs and hgtv
