Don't let kids into it!!
just get a maid or housekeeper you dont want to deal with that crap dude
The good old "Scrubbing Bubbles".
With the scrubbing bubbles, you can never go wrong!
Scrubbing bubbles!!!
I use scrubbing bubbles in every inch of my bath room.
I have tried many things and nothing works better.
You spray it on let it set for one minute then wipe it off with a little effort behind it.
It cleans the tub toilet counters and floor. everything!
You should clean it once a week. Use a liquid spray (like liquid Comet) on the shower - you'll need to use a cloth or teflon scrub pad (so you don't scratch the surface) and rinse it off well. The floor should be vacuumed once a week and cleaned with something like Mr. Clean or Pine-Sol once every couple of months. The toilet should be scrubbed once a week with a toilet bowl cleaner and the outside surfaces of it cleaned with an all-purpose cleaner like Windex. Don't forget to clean the sink each week as well (use liquid Comet or the like). I hope this helps. Take care.
just maintain it. when something starts to get dirty, clean it up.. don't be a friggin slob.
Oh hun this is something your mother shoulda tought you.
But anyway, I used to clean professionally, and according to FlyLady.com you should upkeep your bathroom daily.
Germs and bacteria love a warm, damp place, and they will grow so fast there. You're lucky you have granite, though, that will be easier to care for, BUT, because it is a natural product, unlike linolium, it is porous, which means bacteria can hide in there easier than in linolium.
As soon as you get out of the shower use a squigy and squigy off all the walls in the shower. This will dry them and not leave water-spots and soap scum behind that you'd have to scrub off otherwise. (a squegy like the one you use on car windows to clean them).
While you're getting ready after you shower, as you use things put them right back as soon as you're done using it. Otherwise things will pile up and it's honestly a PAIN to clean up later!
Bleach is a GREAT thing to use to keep things germ-free. Use bleach on your floor and in your tub and in your sink and toilet bowl. Not all the time, though. That's not necessary. Maybe once a week, or twice, depending on how dirty things get.
Use a little scrub brush with bristles (not a stupid toilet bowl scrubber. they don't work as well) with a long handle and use Lysol or some other good toilet bowl with gel and a bowl protector and what-not and clean the toilet at least once a week, if not every 3 days. You can squirt the bowl cleaner in the toilet before you get in the shower and then when you get out scrub it and flush and you're done.
I love using Lysol or Clorox hand wipes for quick cleaning! Keep a container or two in your bathroom and at the end of the day or morning you'll have splashed toothpaste, makeup, water, dirt, oils, etc., all over the counter, so use one or two of these wipes and do a quick wipe-over. You can use these on the toilet, the light switch, and whatever else.
Keeping your mirror shiney and bright will always make the bathroom feel lighter and cleaner. It helps you see yourself more clearly, too. Use paper towells and Windex or another glass cleaner for that. Vinegar is actually the best thing to use for shine and sparkle and cleans rather well, too, actually.
The floor should be kept up after every day, especially in a girl's bathroom because of hair and such. Use a lysol wipe on a daily basis and just do a quick wipe-up of the floor. Then one day a week make sure you vacuum or sweep it good and then get a rag and get down on your knees and use bleach, or lysol, or another good antibacterial cleaner you can use on the floor, and don't use too much of it, but use hot water and a little bit of cleaner and ever few wipes or so rinse the rag out in hot water. Do the floor last.
Always clean from top to bottom.
And keep the window sill clean, if you have a window, because you can get a buildup in there and mold problems.
For soap scum, which looks a pinkish-orangy color, you can use Tylex Soap Scum Remover or Bathroom Cleaner for soap scum. For mildew that usually grows above the shower and in corners you can use Tylex mold and mildew remover. You can't just paint over it because it comes through eventually.
Anyway, that's a lot there! I hope it wasn't way too much for you to read but especially I hope it helps you out!
good luck:)
