Does anyone know of a really good book for making sofa slipcovers. I've wasted my money on 2 books so far?

Question:I have seen the John French videos advertised but they are a little expensive, so I'm hoping someone knows of a really good book. I am not a novice sewer, but it's cutting the pattern I would find difficult.

Answers:
I've had a book for years that helps with this, it gives all kinds of help with basics and has a short but useful section with directions of how to measure and assemble loose covers. I've used it successfully as a novice years ago. I suspect it's out of print by now, but you may find one second hand/ amazon or in a library somewhere! Details:
'Sewing' by Ann Ladbury, publisher: Mitchell Beazley, 1979
ISBN 0 85533 103 8
