Closet Question?
Question:I have kinda a small closet and i was thinking about getting one of those storage closets the ones where they put more shelving into ur closet and make it so u have more room in ur clostet so do u think it will be cheaper to get a dresser or invest in a storage closet
Do u know how much storage closets cost???

I have done there closets so far in my house. Two from Lowe's and one from Home depot.
You are looking at $150-400 depending on all of the pieces you want. One thing you may come across that I did all three times is this:
The clothes rods are a certain length and can be extended, but most smaller closets if you put in the tower you will need to cut the tube and drill a new hole in it so that it will fit. I suggest two rods on the same side. To measure, take your longest outfit and hold it by the hanger as far as you can reach. Enough room under it for a second rod? If so add 2" to the bottom and you are good to go. With everything going wrong, expect a full day. If the sun is shining down on you, 3 hours max.
I would check prices on online. The cheapest would be buying it online. Check out e-bay.
What i would do is do a search for closet organizers (sp?)
Some places online have like an online catolog that you can look at and see prices. You can also just go down to walmart (or whatever local store you choose) and go to the laundry area. There are all sorts of things you can put in closets for more space.not really more space, but ways to help you utalize all the space you have.
swell personally i love the storage closets i have very long closet w/o a lot of depth so i am going to invest in one! I'm not sure on the pricing though,nad dresser take up so much room! good luck
I don't know how expensive closet organizers are, but I do think it would be cheaper to buy an old chest of drawers at a yard sale, give it a good cleaning, and paint it, then slide it into your closet on one side. You could even line the drawers with a fine cedar veneer to keep your clothes from smelling musty and I hear cedar helps keep the moths away as well. You could buy a shoe organizer rack and set it on top of the chest for easy access.
Be sure to measure the available space in your closet before making the purchase.
